In addition to regular programs, the library hosts several major special events each year, including an annual Comicon, Atomicon, and programs for community-wide celebrations such as Hawk Hangout, High School Senior Appreciation Night, ScienceFest, Winterfest, and A Day of Arts and Culture.
The library also collaborates with community partners, including PEEC, to support initiatives like the Los Alamos Community Seed Library through specialized programming. Additionally, it serves as a regular contributor and host for the community-wide Deep Dive series.
As an particular highlight this year, the library will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the White Rock Branch Library with a special author talk and a street fair in the late summer.
For our special events in the Summer 2025, we have several that can accommodate food service vendors serving from 500 to 1500 attendees. Contact Eva Jacobson with inquiries about working with us for these events. More information about the food service vendor opportunities here.(PDF, 126KB)
For Atomicon, held this year on Saturday, August 30, 2025, we will again be hosting the Atomicon Vendor Hall at Fuller Lodge. This has been a great success for vendors in the past. Over 1,000 attendees pass through Atomicon, and the Vendor Hall is one of our large attractions. To inquire about reserving a table at Atomicon, please contact Melissa Mackey.
