Lend a hand to help improve the library! Participate in the anonymous survey now through July 27. The survey will guide the library's next strategic planning cycle, shaping services, collections, and programs over the next three years. We encourage residents of all ages, including those who do not currently use the library, to participate and offer honest feedback.
Step 1: For anyone wishing to volunteer at the library—adults, teens, children—please visit the Volunteer Los Alamos site. Create an account there, browse volunteer opportunities (search on “library”), and choose one that fits your interests.
Step 2: All volunteer opportunities will require a waiver to be completed once yearly. There are separate Release of Liability forms for minors and for adults. Please fill out the appropriate form and return it to either library or email it to libweb@losalamosnm.gov.
Step 3: Some opportunities, like providing program support during a particular activity—such as Tabletop Game Day—will have defined shifts to fill. Others, like Shelf Maintenance or Minions, will be more flexible. In those cases, a name and contact info have been listed in the opportunity's description.
Step 4: Volunteer! Once you've completed and returned the Release of Liability waiver and arranged or signed up for your first shift, you’re officially part of our volunteer team. Welcome!
Please email monique.archbold@losalamosnm.gov or call (505) 662-8259.
