Youth Summer Reading Program

It’s the summer of TEN(10) in youth services. Read ten hours and earn a free book! Update your Beanstack account, register for your reading challenge, and track your progress in the Beanstack app.

If you’re ages 0-3, you can do everything on the bilingual (Spanish/English) activity log, no Beanstack app needed.

If you’re age 3 to grade 6, you also have a Library Logbook to track your reading time with stickers.

7th- 12th graders will use the Beanstack app. For teens, every hour you read also earns you an extra entry into the weekly drawing. Every week we’re giving away a Bluetooth speaker and a veggie print canvas tote bag.

Cover-to-Cover is our ongoing reading project for grades 3 through 6. Read 5 books on the 2026 Cover-to-Cover list, get your green cat stamp at the desk, and receive a free book. Read the other 5 books, get your green cat stamp at the desk, and receive a $5 gift card to Samizdat Bookstore and Teahouse.

We have fabulous programs and activities including:

  • Silent Book Club Junior,
  • Super-sized teen programs,
  • Read with a Ranger,
  • Wonders on Wheels,
  • and more!
